FAQ's

Why should I choose Rachel Konsella Photography?

If you’re looking for a 5 star photographer who promises to be fully present, to listen to what YOU want captured most, and who is compassionate and hard working, you found your match!  Rachel takes her work seriously and genuinely wants her couples to look back at their wedding photos with the fondest of memories.  Rachel believes that photographs have the power (almost magically) to allow us to relive the most precious moments in our lives.  She considers every wedding an honor to part of.

How do I book Rachel?

First, call or email to check availability. Rachel books on a first come, first serve basis and photographs a limited number of weddings a year to guarantee exceptional service.  To book, Rachel needs just 2 things: a signed contract and 50% of the total, as a booking reservation. Please contact Rachel here to set up a phone call or in-person meeting to talk further.

How long has Rachel been photographing weddings?

Rachel has been photographing weddings since 2013.  After she graduated from college with a Bachelor's of Fine Art in Photography, her best friend got engaged and asked "do you want to me my bridesmaid, or my photographer...?"  Rachel was so honored, and said "absolutely, your photographer."  That wedding is what started it all.  Capturing the most intimate moments of her wedding day, was truly love at first wedding.  The rest is history, Rachel is simply in love with documenting love stories.

What is the price for wedding photography?

Every wedding is unique and different and elopements or small/intimate weddings are becoming more and more common (which are awesome, by the way!) Because of this, Rachel will give you a quote after knowing a bit more about your wedding, what you're looking for in a wedding photographer, and where your wedding will take place.  Please fill out the contact form, and Rachel will get back to you asap.

What are my payment options and are there payment plans?

Rachel will need a 50% deposit to reserve your wedding date and the remaining 50% is due two weeks before the wedding date.  Cash or check are preferred, but if you’d prefer us to run your card, not a problem.

Payment plans can be created on a per case basis.  Rachel wants to be accessible to couples regardless of their financial situation.  Please explain what would work best for you, and she’ll do her best to work with you.

Does Rachel Travel?

Absolutely!  Rachel is based out of Vancouver, Washington but loves documenting in new places, and adventure is in her spirit.  Included distance in her wedding photography packages is 20 miles from PDX airport.  This includes all of Portland, Vancouver, Camas, Washougal, Ridgefield, North Plains, Hillsboro, Beaverton, Tigard, Lake Oswego, Milwaukie, Happy Valley, Clackamas, Tualatin, Oregon City, Gresham, Troutdale and Latourell Falls.  The rate for weddings outside of a 20 mile radius from PDX airport is $.50/mi (round trip).  Example: Let’s say your wedding is in Cannon Beach, and the distance from PDX is 90 miles.  90(mi) x 2  = 180. Subtract the included 40 (mi) = 140.  140 (mi) x $.50 = $70. For weddings outside of Washington and Oregon travel expenses can be discussed on a case by case basis.

Any tips from Rachel for wedding planning?

Always; here’s just a few:  + Let your wedding be a day that reflects your unique and combined personalities.  This is YOUR day to create however you wish.  Tradition is one thing, your genuine happiness is another + Opt in for an unplugged ceremony.  Let your guests know you want their full attention for this very special time. You’ve hired a great photographer to take the photos; let Aunt Betty sit back, relax, and be part of your support team.  + Make choices with comfort in mind. If you’re comfortable, it will show in your photos. Making choices that increase your comfort is a simple way to help the day go smoothly and will help everyone look their best.

With Rachel we got both fabulous photos, and someone who felt like family.  You really can’t beat that.” Find more reviews here.
