How long has Rachel been photographing weddings?

Rachel has been photographing weddings since 2013.  After she graduated from college with a Bachelor of Fine Art in Photography, her best friend got engaged and asked "do you want to be my bridesmaid or my photographer...?"  Rachel exclaimed: "absolutely, your photographer."  That wedding is what started it all.  Capturing the most intimate moments of her wedding, was truly “love at first wedding.”  The rest is history, Rachel is simply in love with documenting love stories.

What are my payment options and are there payment plans?

Cash or check are preferred, but if you’d prefer us to run your card, not a problem.  Rachel will need a $500 retainer to reserve your wedding date with the remaining due two weeks before the wedding date.

Payment plans can be created on a per case basis.  Rachel wants to be accessible to couples regardless of their financial situation.  Please explain what would work best for you, and she’ll do her best to work with you.

Does Rachel travel for weddings?

Absolutely!  Rachel Konsella Photography is based out of Olympia, Washington but loves documenting in new places, and adventure is in her spirit.  For weddings outside of Washington and Oregon, travel expenses can be discussed on a case-by-case basis.

Any tips from Rachel for wedding planning?

Always. Here’s just a few:

+ Let your wedding be a day that reflects your unique and combined personalities.  This is YOUR day to create however you wish.  Tradition is one thing, your genuine happiness is another

+ Opt in for an unplugged ceremony.  Let your guests know you want their full attention for this very special time. You’ve hired a great photographer to take the photos; let Aunt Betty sit back, relax, and be part of your support team.

+ Make choices with comfort in mind. If you’re comfortable, it will show in your photos. Making choices that increase your comfort is a simple way to help the day go smoothly and will help everyone look their best.

The park I want to go to requires a permit. Who pays?

Any additional permits or fees required by the venue, park, public space or local jurisdiction will be the responsibility of the Client. Any violation fees incurred will be the Client’s responsibility.

“Look — there are probably a dozen other photographers you’re considering, but they’re not Rachel.  It’s not just the photos that last a lifetime, it’s also how that person treats your difficult aunty, your drunk friends, or whatever it is in your family. With Rachel, we got both fabulous photos and someone who felt like family.  You really can’t beat that.”
