An Elopement in Portland, Oregon
Callie and Brian were supposed to have their wedding in the Columbia Gorge at the beautiful Thunder Island.
…and then Covid.
They decided to have an intimate ceremony in their backyard in Portland, Oregon.
And they made the most of it!
They asked just a handful of friends to be there.
They live-streamed for guests who couldn’t be there
And the bride walked down the aisle with her grandpa via zoom <3
Their Portland Oregon backyard wedding ceremony was so sweet & just perfect for them.
For their wedding portraits, we took a walk in their Portland, Oregon neighborhood.
And perhaps the best part about their wedding…
Their cat couldn’t resist letting them know how he felt about their new adventure together.
To end the night…
they gathered around a fire for a jam session, enjoying drinks and truly enjoying the moment.
Callie and Brian are creatives and have created a welcoming and creative musical community in Portland.
They host Open Mic night at the Cruzroom Annex and started Shady Pines Radio.
So ending the night with music was perfect for them.
I encourage all of my couples to give themselves permission to do exactly what’s perfect for THEM.
Covid has helped to open our eyes that weddings can look different, and shouldn’t just be what our parents did, or what our friends tell us we need.
The reason why you’re there is still the same. Do what makes you happy. Let love win.
